Tri-Village Garden Club Meeting

If you have a love of gardening or would like to learn about gardening, plants, gardening tools, and nature around you, Tri-Village Garden Club of Bartlett, Hanover Park and Streamwood is for you.  Meet  other people with similar interests, knowledge to share, and a desire to learn more.

The club hosts interesting speakers who have given presentations on a variety of topics from growing herbs, to bees and the honey they produce from different types of plants, to bison and tall grass prairies, to types of trees and plants that do well in the local climate, to how to prepare for spring gardening, and much more.

In addition, the club maintains several gardens in the community and has a food pantry garden that supplies a half ton of vegetables to local food pantries.  It gets involved with youth and senior programs.  Once each year it holds a fabulous plant sale, and annually, there is a members garden walk.  Once every few years, the club has a fundraising garden walk to raise scholarship money for students who would like to study to have a career in horticulture or agriculture.  Members enjoy a potluck picnic in the summer and a member appreciation party in December.

The Tri-Village Garden Club year runs from January through December.  The January meeting is where club members decide on activities and sign up for committees in which to participate. Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Streamwood Fire Station 31 at 1204 S. Park Ave.  Individual dues are $25/year. Come and see if Tri-Village Garden Club is a club you’d enjoy!
