Bartlett Police Announce IDOT Traffic Safety Campaign Results

Bartlett Police Department participated in the Illinois Department of Transportation’s St. Patrick’s Day traffic enforcement campaign. Bartlett Police Department’s participation in this statewide traffic safety initiative was fully funded by a grant awarded by the Illinois Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Safety Programs & Engineering.  

Bartlett Police Department conducted specialized traffic enforcement which resulted in the following:

• One motorist was charged for driving under the influence of alcohol.
• Two motorists were charged for aggravated speeding.
• Two motorists were charged for unlawful possession of cannabis by driver.
• 1 citation was issued for possession of tobacco by a minor
• 1 citation was issued for possession of alcohol by a minor
• 1 citation was issued for possession of cannabis by a minor
• 14 citations were issued for speeding violations
• 11 citations were issued for seatbelt violations.
• 27 citations were issued for other moving and non-moving violations.
